How often should you come for preventative care?

This is a question I get asked a lot. The answer depends on the needs of the individual. Throughout my career, I have seen many different styles of chiropractic care. Many places even claim to do customized active care plans, but they all seem to have the same goal when it comes to transitioning the patient to wellness care. That never made sense to me because even when someone is feeling better, their lifestyle or career may be very different from the next person. So why should everyone come once a month for the exact same adjustment? Who decides when the patient is finished being treated for a specific problem and is ready to switch over to preventative care? I’ve always felt that even doctors don’t know as much about your own body as you do. While we are here to help with decision making, at the end of the day, YOU make the final call on your own health! I want to emphasize one thing. I don’t practice strictly one form of therapy. I like to call what I do a combination of Instrument assisted healing Therapy, Medical Manual Therapy, Manual Manipulation of the joints, and Mental Health Therapy. When I started this Journey, my desire was to deliver as much healing as possible in the least amount of time with the lowest amount of cost to the patient as possible. Here is a little guide I put together with a few different suggestions on how to best utilize the available treatment options offered here at CCH Chiropractic.

A – EVERY 4-6 WEEKS. Full Body adjustment (Occasionally I have some that come more frequently because of unusual circumstances). Appointment timeframe is about 10-12 min. Price is $40-50 depending on what is adjusted. (about $520-650/year)

B – EVERY 8-10 WEEKS. Full Body adjustment with one supporting therapy, (again, frequency can be higher in rare cases, but this is what I have observed to work for the majority of patients). Appointment timeframe is 20 min. Price is $70. (about $350-455/year)

C – EVERY 12-16 WEEKS. Complete Care Visit is 15-20 min of Deep Tissue Manual therapy on 1-2 areas that need a little more TLC than the rest of the body. Instrument assisted healing therapy, and a Full Body adjustment. Appointment timeframe is 30 mins. Price is $100. If you need to change clothes, please come a few minutes earlier so we can start on time. (about $300-400/year)
